Miss Elizabeth
Hi there, I’m Elizabeth, the owner and lead teacher at Kids Create. I have a BA in Fine Art and my K-12 art education license. After teaching middle school art in Ankeny for 7 years, I made a switch to teaching privately. This quickly grew into Kids Create which has been bringing joy to my life for 8 years now. My husband and I live in Polk City with our 2 children, 2 dogs, cat, and never-ending train of foster animals. Our foster puppies and kittens frequent the studio and have been known to pick their adoptive families here. I often say Kids Create is a combination of my 3 biggest loves, children, animals, and art.
About Kids Create
Kids Create is a children’s art studio that encourages a love of creativity, learning, and kindness. In addition to art, we are also proud to host guest instructors who teach Lego Robotics, Science, Culinary Arts, Sewing, Crochet, Cookie Decorating, Archaeology, Jewelry Making, STEM & more! Expect your child to have a wonderful time growing their skills with highly qualified, passionate teachers at Kids Create. We can’t wait to meet them!
Classes
Weekly Classes
We offer a weekly Exploratory Art Class as well as a Lego & Robotics Club. These opportunities run the entire school year. Students are welcome to join at any time and drop with a 2-week notice. These classes are a wonderful way to grow your child’s skills and interests as well as connect them with like-minded friends.
One-Time Classes
Find these in a variety of mediums with exciting themes such as Caticorns on Canvas w/kitten guests or Dragon Night Lights. These run 2.5 hours and can double as a special playdate for your child and their friend.
Camps
No school, no problem! Register your child for one of our no-school-day camps. Students create, learn, and play within a fun theme from 9am-3pm. Our summer is also packed with a wide variety of camps that range from a couple hours to all-day options.
Parties
Leave the fuss to us! Our parties are perfect for children 5 years and older. Your birthday child will pick from a variety of exciting options including canvas painting, ceramic painting, slime making, & more! Their creations are the perfect party favor.
